Israel Folau (born 3 April 1989 in Sydney, New South Wales) is an Australian professional rugby league player currently contracted with the Melbourne Storm in the National Rugby League. He has also represented Australia at international level. <br />

</gallery>Folau was born in the suburb of Campbelltown, Sydney, New South Wales to parents of Tongan descent but his family moved to Brisbane when he was 12 years old. In Brisbane, Folau attended Marsden State High School where he was selected for Queensland School Boys in the Australian Under-15 Championships. Folau was spotted by a Melbourne Storm scout at the championships and was invited to play his junior rugby with the Storms previous Queensland Cup feeder club the Norths Devils. He won a premiership while playing with the Norths Devils and became the first player to represent Queensland Under-19's while still only 16 years of age. From playing with the Devils, in 2006 he was selected to play in the Australian Schoolboys squad that toured Wales, England and France. Alongside Folau in the tour were future 2007 NRL rookies in the likes of Brisbane Broncos David Taylor, West Tigers Chris Lawrence and Sydney Roosters Mitchell Pearce. Playing years above his age gave Melbourne the confidence to give Israel a run in first grade and at only 17 years old he made his debut in the National Rugby League.<br />
<br />
=== Debut season === <br />
Israel Folau's NRL debut came before Melbourne coach Craig Bellamy intended as he was named on the right wing in place of the injured Steve Turner. He started in the sides first match of the 2007 NRL season, against the Wests Tigers, and became the youngest player in the history of the club to play for the Storm. His first game was an indication of things to come as he scored the match-winning try to beat the Tigers 18-16. After such a solid performance in his opening game, and an injury free year, Folau went on to play in every match of the season, the only to do so for Melbourne in 2007. Playing superbly on the wing, coach Craig Bellamy brought Folau in to play in the centres, where he would receive more ball and have more opportunity to score points. After 26 rounds Folau finished the regular season with 21 tries and 5 goals for a total of 94 points. His try tally (21) saw him the equal top-try scorer for 2007 alongside North Queensland Cowboys full-back Matt Bowen. <br />
<br />
In his rookie year Folau broke a number of club and NRL records, the most prestigious beating fellow team-mate Billy Slater's previous NRL record of most tries in a debut season (Slater scored 19 in 2005). Folau capped off a magnificent first season in the NRL by winning the 2007 Dally M Rookie of the Year Award and being a part of the successful 2007 Melbourne Storm premiership side, that only lost three matches all season. <br />
<br />
===Representative selection===<br />
<br />
Following an ankle injury to Brisbane Broncos center Justin Hodges, it was announced that Israel would replace him in the Australian Test Side to play New Zealand on October 14 2007. On his international debut, Folau became the youngest ever player to represent Australia at 18 years & 194 days and he then went on to score two tries in Australia's record 58-0 defeat of New Zealand.<br />
<br />
==Future plans==<br />
Folau is a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and is considering taking two years off from the game to fulfil his religious responsibility of missionary work overseas.<br />

<br />
==History==<br />
<br />
Before 1995, the Cooks’ international experience was limited to participation in the Pacific Cup, and hosting the touring BARLA Great Britain Amateur teams. Nonetheless, the sizeable number of expatriate Cook Islanders living and playing in New Zealand has ensured that they have never been short of players with rugby league experience.<br />
<br />
They won the 1995 Emerging Nations tournament, defeating United States, Russia and Scotland before beating Ireland in the final. <br />
<br />
In 1996 and 1997 the Cook Islands competed in the Super League World Nines. They also played several full internationals against other South Pacific nations, most notably as part of the Papua New Guinea 50th Anniversary Tournament in October 1998. 2000 saw the Cook Islands competing in the World Cup for the first time. ===The Weigh-in===<br />
At the beginning of the season and beginning of each week, contestants are weighed and compared to their previous weight. Within teams the total percentage of weight loss for the team must be highest to avoid elimination. Weigh-in episodes were generally screened on Sunday nights, or left as a cliffhanger and combined with elimination episodes. The total combined starting weight of contestants was displayed unlike previous seasons, this amount was 2137.3kg.<br />
There no blue and red team People<br />

===The Warehouse===<br />
*Week 1 - Seafood vs Red Meat: Contestants were required to choose between seafood and red meat, which would form the basis of their diet for the next week. Initially, 12 contestants were in favour of the seafood, whereas 3 contestants made it clear that they would prefer the red meat. The discussion quickly degenerated into an argument, caused by a strong personality clash between JJ and Sheridan. The contestants were eventually unanimous in their decision to choose seafood.<br />

}}The United States National Rugby League side represent the United States in the sport of rugby league, and are nicknamed the Tomahawks. <br />
<br />
==History==<br />
===The American All-Stars===<br />
One of the earliest attempts to introduce rugby league to the United States was in 1953, when Mike Dimitro, a wrestling promoter, was asked to organise a tour of Australasia by an American rugby league side.<br />
<br />
The team, known as the American All-Stars, was given a huge schedule that included 26 matches against Australian and New Zealand sides. None of the 22 American players had ever played rugby league prior to this tour, they presented themselves in gridiron like attire early on in the tournament. The side only won six games as well as drawing two.<br />
<br />
Their second match of the tour, against a Sydney side, drew a crowd of 65,453 to the Sydney Cricket Ground. After a consistent lack of competition, crowds were good but never reached the great height that the match at the SCG did.<br />
<br />
The tour did not in turn bring any benefits to American rugby league. Mike Dimitro did however, not give up, he was able to organise two exhibitions against Australia and New Zealand in California that did not turn out to be a big success.<br />
<br />
===The return of the United States===<br />
<br />
The United States played their first international in 1987 against Canada. They have participated in the World Sevens (1992-1997), Superleague World Nines (1996, 1997), Emerging Nations World Cup (2000) and Victory Cup (2003, 2004) competitions.<br />
<br />
The United States Tomahawks warmed up for the 2000 World Cup with a three-match trip to New South Wales. On Friday 11 August they took on Forster XIII, drawn from Forster’s two clubs, the Hawks and the Dragons. The tourists were defeated 32-12. <br />
<br />
In 2001 as a response to the September 11 incident the AMNRL setup a rugby league match between local USA born players (USA All Stars) and AMNRL players who were born overseas (World Allies All Stars). The match was won by the USA All Stars 27-26. Proceeds from the game were donated to the Red Cross to help with cleanup operations.<br />
<br />
Since 2002, the Tomahawks have been playing regular international competition in the United States. In 2002, the United States were defeated by Russia 54-10 in front of over 25,000 spectators in Moscow.<br />
<br />
In 2004 they shocked the Rugby League world by leading the World Cup and Tri-Nations champions Australia for most of the game. Australia rallied in the last quarter of the game and won 36-24.<br />

==2008 Rugby League World Cup qualifying==<br />
<br />
In October 2006 The Tomahawks were to participate in a four team Atlantic qualifying pool for the 2008 Rugby League World Cup, but South Africa and the West Indies withdrew. The Atlantic qualifying pool, as a result, was reduced to a single game between the Tomahawks and Japan. The USA won 54-18. They then played Samoa in the Repechage Semi Final. Samoa won this match 42-10, which was a fair result as the USA team played well in patches and came up with two fantastic tries.<br />

<br />
===The return of the United States===<br />
<br />
The United States played their first international in 1987 against Canada. They have participated in the World Sevens (1992-1997), Superleague World Nines (1996, 1997), Emerging Nations World Cup (2000) and Victory Cup (2003, 2004) competitions.<br />
<br />
The United States Tomahawks warmed up for the 2000 World Cup with a three-match trip to New South Wales. On Friday 11 August they took on Forster XIII, drawn from Forster’s two clubs, the Hawks and the Dragons. The tourists were defeated 32-12. <br />
<br />
<br />
Since 2002, the Tomahawks have been playing regular international competition in the United States. In 2002, the United States were defeated by Russia 54-10 in front of over 25,000 spectators in Moscow.<br />
<br />
In 2004 they shocked the Rugby League world by leading the World Cup and Tri-Nations champions Australia for most of the game. Australia rallied in the last quarter of the game and won 36-24.<br />

<br />

The match was won by the USA All Stars 27-26. Proceeds from the game were donated to the Red Cross to help with cleanup operations.<br />
<br />
Since 2002, the Tomahawks have been playing regular international competition in the United States. In 2002, the United States were defeated by Russia 54-10 in front of over 25,000 spectators in Moscow.<br />
<br />
In 2004 they shocked the Rugby League world by leading the World Cup and Tri-Nations champions Australia for most of the game. Australia rallied in the last quarter of the game and won 36-24.<br />

==2008 Rugby League World Cup qualifying==<br />
<br />

Lesley Vainikolo (born 4 May 1979 in Nuku'alofa, Tonga) is a dual code professional rugby union player for Gloucester Rugby. He plays on the wing. <br />
<br />
He previously played rugby league for Canberra Raiders in the National Rugby League and more recently Bradford Bulls in the European Super League. Vainikolo has also played on several occasions for New Zealand Kiwis at international level, including several Rugby League Tri-Nations appearances. As in rugby union, his usual position was wing.<br />
<br />
==Childhood and early career==<br />
Vainikolo grew up in South Auckland playing rugby union but switched to rugby league as he explains, "I first got into rugby league when I was 11. One of my mates got me into it. His team were short on numbers and my mate asked if I wanted to play. I grew up playing union, so I had the basic skills. I played the game and absolutely loved it. And I've been hooked since. He attended De La Salle College, Mangere East and holds the school's 100m record of 10.90s." Vainikolo ran the 100m in 10.8 seconds in qualifying for the 1998 World Junior Athletics Championships.<br />
<br />
==Rugby League==<br />
===Canberra Raiders===<br />
Vainikolo had two big league heroes when he was younger - Allan Langer and Mal Meninga. So when Vainikolo received a call from Mal Meninga to join the Canberra Raiders, he had no hesitation. Thus, in 1998, Vainikolo began his professional rugby league career for the Canberra Raiders in the Australian National Rugby League competition. In his first season for the club, he was voted as the Canberra Raiders' rookie of the year. While playing for the Raiders, Vainikolo was dubbed by Australian rugby league commentator Peter Sterling as 'The Volcano'. The reason for this is because Sterling found the player's surname difficult to pronounce and shortened it to "Volcano" and he has been called this nickname ever since.<br />
<br />
===Bradford Bulls===<br />
Vainikolo made his debut in the 2002 World Club Challenge against the Newcastle Knights in January. However, his first season with the club in 2002 was disrupted by injury. He scored only 13 tries in 24 appearances. In his second season with the club he scored an impressive 28 tries in 32 appearances. He was voted as the best rugby league player in the world in 2003. He lived up to that accolade in the following season by breaking the Super League try scoring record by scoring 37 tries in only 26 appearances, including five hat-tricks.<br />
<br />
Again in 2005, his season was disrupted with injury, although he still managed to score a remarkable 34 tries in 23 appearances. During the 2005 rugby league season his contract was due to expire at the end of the season and Vainikolo received what he says was "a very big offer" from Gloucester Rugby Club, who play in the leading English rugby union competition the Guinness Premiership. However, Vainikolo declined the offer and decided to remain with the Bradford Bulls until the end of the 2009 Super League season. After signing the contract, Lesley Vainikolo's coach at the time, Brian Noble stated "Lesley is a world-class player and was in big demand from both union and league clubs. To manage to keep him in rugby league says a lot for the sport and also the Bradford Bulls." At the end of the 2005 season, Vainikolo had scored a remarkable 112 tries in 105 appearances for the Bulls.<br />
<br />
On 15 May 2007, it was confirmed by Bradford Bulls that he was to leave the club and join Union side Gloucester Rugby Club. Vainikolo spoke about his move saying: "First and foremost I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone connected with Bradford Bulls - including my team-mates, the staff and all the supporters - for making the last five years so memorable.<br />
<br />
"Bradford is my home and I know I'll be back. I'm determined to go out on a high and want to contribute as much as possible over the next six weeks before I make the switch."<br />
<br />
His last match at Odsal was on 17 June 2007 against Hull, a 34-8 win. Hooker Terry Newton took the limelight with four tries but Vainikolo was allowed a parting shot when he was given the chance to convert a last minute try from regular goal-kicker Paul Deacon; the first shot of his career and his only two-point score for Bradford Bulls.<br />
<br />
Vainikolo's last match in Super League was against the Bulls' most fierce rivals Leeds Rhinos at Headingley on 29 June 2007, he scored the opening try in a 38-14 win for the Bulls, leaving his Bradford Bulls career statistics at 152 games, 149 tries and 1 goal.<br />
<br />
In August 2007, he was named in Bradford's Team of the Century.<br />
<br />
===International Rugby League career===<br />
Vainikolo made his first international appearance for the New Zealand national rugby league team in 1998. He has scored fourteen tries in twelve appearances for his nation, including nine tries in the 2000 Rugby League World Cup. <br />
<br />
He was ruled out of both the 2005 and 2006 Rugby League Tri-Nations series through injury. He has had major surgery on his knees over recent years.<br />
<br />
==Rugby Union==<br />
===Gloucester Rugby===<br />
In 2007, Vainikolo signed a three-year deal with rugby union premiership side Gloucester who finished top of the Guinness premiership in 2006/07. Gloucester head coach, Dean Ryan, was delighted with the new signing of Vainikolo. He will aim to add plenty of power and pace to the Gloucester back division.<br />
<br />
Vainikolo is the fourth Bradford Bulls Player to have joined Gloucester Rugby in the last 6 years after Tevita Vaikona, Henry Paul and former team-mate Karl Pryce.<br />
<br />
Vainikolo scored 5 tries on his debut for Gloucester against Leeds Carnegie on 16 September 2007, proving his ability to score tries in either code.<br />
<br />
===International Rugby Union career===<br />
As a union player, Vainikolo is eligible to play for Tonga by birth, New Zealand by parentage or England by residence. He has applied for a British passport and has been included in the English squad for the Six Nations Championships in 2008. He has already qualified under residency rules and has not played representative rugby at any level for Tonga, rejecting the chance to play in 2007 Rugby World Cup so that he could play for his adopted nation.<br />
<br />
Vainikolo is being backed to be a success from all quarters. Henry Paul, who enjoyed great domestic success with Gloucester Rugby but never reached the same level at International level, believes Vainikolo can enjoy a far greater impact.<br />

Karl Pryce (born July 27, 1986 in Bradford, England) is an English rugby league player who currently plays for Wigan in the Super League competition. His position of choice is on the wing. Pryce previously played rugby league with the Bradford Bulls until 2006. He also played rugby union with Gloucester <br />
<br />
Karl is also the younger brother of England and St Helens rugby league player Leon Pryce.<br />
<br />
Karl is one of the outstanding Junior prospects in the British game. He has the size, skill, pace and power to trouble any opposition. However despite these attributes Karl is sometimes considered by team mates and fans alike to be lazy and unwilling to work for the good of the team. Many critics believe this as being a major factor in making his decision to switch to rugby union.<br />
<br />
He made his debut at St Helens who had won the World Club Challenge in 2003 and was outstanding as the Bulls Senior Academy took the Championship in 2004. In 2005 he continued his progress and made 21 appearances scoring 17 tries making him third in the Bulls Try Scoring charts for the year.<br />
<br />
Pryce was called up to the Great Britain Squad in 2006 for the 2006 Tri nations although he did not feature in the competition.<br />
<br />
==Gloucester==<br />
<br />
Pryce re-fractured a bone in his left foot on his Premiership debut in March 2007 and had a pin inserted in his foot. He missed the rest of the season. For the 2007/08 season, Karl, like the other England Academy players at Gloucester, has been dual-registered with Moseley and may play for either club during the season.<br />
<br />
==Return to Rugby League==<br />
<br />
On 18 December 2007, Wigan announced that they have signed Karl Pryce {the brother of Leon Pryce and the cousin of Waine Pryce} for the start of the new 2008 Super League Season.<br />

<div><br />
Sports as we know it today has been a part of Philippine culture since the late 19th century. Early observers have noted however that Filipinos in general have adopted a rather passive approach to competition. Perhaps this can be attributed to how Philippine society has evolved under colonial rule for three and a half centuries. <br />
<br />
Despite having 7,107 islands, all the inland seas and access to two major bodies of water, an inclination towards watersports is oddly not high on the list of sports-minded Filipinos. Prevailing socio-economic issues and conditions are blamed for the general state of Philippine sports. <br />
<br />
While there is no shortage of participation in several team and individual sports, the level of competition generated across the board has simply lagged behind world class standards. Lack of innovative training methods, state-of-the art facilities, and modern equipment are usually cited as undermining the potential of Filipino athletes. Nevertheless, politics surrounding Philippine sports probably ranks higher on the list and this has undoubtedly cast a dark shadow on hindering the growth of sports across the archipelago. This despite the early accolades afforded to the country through the early part of the second half of the 20th century when the Philippines produced world-class talent in baseball, football/soccer, basketball, track and field, and swimming among popular sports. <br />
<br />
Presently, there exists an odd disparity prevalent in Philippine sports. On one end of the spectrum is a general populace whose exposure is limited to what can be afforded a third world country. On the other end is a segment of society whose exposure is that of the developed world, where active involvement is prevalent, but only to a minority. Such a situation has subsequently limited the available talent base. Some sports have flourished more than others, but that is by no means an indication of the sports Filipinos enjoy. One only need visit the country and immerse himself/herself and discover society across the islands. Suffice it to say, Filipinos have already warmed up to more than just passive participation in sports. <br />
<br />
==Pick a Sport==<br />
There are five major team sports in the Philippines that are quite popular to differing degrees. Baseball, softball, football/soccer, basketball, and volleyball are generally among those sports Filipinos have embraced. Boxing, golf, tennis, badminton, biking/cycling are among the more prevalent individual pursuits. Running, weight/power-lifting, aerobics, and the martial arts of karate-do and tae-kwon-do are likewise popular endeavours especially among the health conscious. On the water front, swimming continues to be popular, while scuba/underwater diving, kayaking, sailing, and body/wind surfing have also found their niche. On another front cockfighting, horse racing, auto/cart/drag/motor racing, and jai-alai also have a big following. <br />
<br />
A good trend to watch is the growth of outdoor, extreme, and endurance sports which is gradually gaining acceptance across the islands especially among the younger generation and the environmentally conscious nature-lovers. Among these are in-line/roller skating, in-line hockey, kite/wake boarding, kite/ski surfing, rock-climbing/scrambling, mountaineering,and frisbee.<br />
<br />
==Sports for the Disabled==<br />
Disabled sports in the Philippines is still in its infancy if only because awareness and implementation of the rights of the disabled in the Philippines is very poor or non-existent. Many disabled athletes are enlisted personnel from the Philippine military branches. Civilian disabled athletes can be found representing the country in internationaL events like the 9th FESPIC Games or the 2005 ASEAN ParaGames, thru the umbrella organization of the PHILSPADA - Philippine Sports Association of Differently Abled, the disabled equivalent of the Philippine Olympic Committee.<br />

The Philippine national rugby union team (also known as the "Volcanoes") is the newly established rugby union national team of the Philippines.<br />
<br />
The team won their first international test match when they beat Guam, 18-14 in Guam on May 20 2006, with approximately half of the squad composed of Filipino-heritage players and the other half of long term expatriate residents.<br />
<br />
The Philippine Rugby Football Union, was formed in 1998 and was composed primarily of expatriates, with only a few Filipino players. Different local clubs and schools (such as Brent International School, International School Manila and the Manila Nomads) started introducing rugby union to the country.<br />
<br />
The Merchant marine academy the Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific (MAAP)is one of the major educational institutions that plays Rugby Union. They formed the first all-Filipino rugby team and made their first major rugby appearance in the 2003 Manila Rugby 10s tournament where they were well received by the local and expatriate crowd. <br />
<br />
Success also came to a 100% Filipino-heritage team when the Philippines won the 2005 Southeast Asian Games rugby sevens tournament (as a demonstration sport), beating Indonesia, 32-5 in December 2005.<br />

They joined National League Two in 2006, and were promoted to National League One at the end of the 2007 season. Home games are played at the Brewery Field in Bridgend, although some games have been played in other parts of South Wales. <br />
<br />
Much of the squad are Welsh-qualified having been recruited from the Welsh Conference sides, mainly Bridgend Blue Bulls and Aberavon Fighting Irish. They also run an academy side drawn from every club in the Welsh Conference.<br />
<br />
The Crusaders are attracting fans of the now defunct rugby union team Celtic Warriors, who participated in the Celtic League during the 2003-2004 season, before they were disbanded by the WRU.<br />
<br />
Their highest ever attendance at Brewery Field was on Friday May 4, 2007 when 3,441 people witnessed them play Oldham Roughyeds National League Two match. Some of the crowd consisted of engage Super League fans who had travelled to South Wales for the Millennium Magic weekend in Cardiff but the majority were locals thanks to a marketing campaign by the club. This attendance was also an NL2 record attendance and the first NL2 match broadcast live on British television.<br />
<br />
In only their second season of existence, the Celtic Crusaders won the 2007 National League Two, thus earning automatic promotion to National League One in 2008. The title was sealed with one match left to play as a result of Featherstone Rovers away loss at Barrow Raiders on September 8, 2007.<br />
<br />
==Symbols==<br />
The Badge - The badge depicts the Cross of St David with the Crusaders logo emblazed thereon. The club colours are black and gold and the change strip blue and white.<br />
<br />
The Motto - The motto comes from Lucius Accius a Roman tragic Poet. ‘Oderint dum metuant’ - ‘Let them hate, so long as they fear’ later became a famous motto of the Emperor Caligula.<br />
<br />
==History==<br />
<br />
The initial plan to re-use the 'Celtic Warriors' name was abandoned in favour of 'Celtic Crusaders' which had been considered by the rugby union franchise. They were to play their home games at Brewery Field and games were planned to be held at Sardis Road as well. <br />
<br />
The Crusaders' aim was to reach Super League and to represent South Wales. Previous attempts to create rugby league franchises in non-traditional areas have met with mixed success. Gateshead Thunder and Paris Saint Germain were given automatic entry to the Super League, Paris survived only two seasons and Gateshead were forcibly merged and reincarnated as a national league two side. The philosophy behind the creation of the Crusaders was a bottom up approach to ensure that the club grew with its playing and spectator base, into a nationally recognised sporting brand.<br />
<br />
The Crusaders' first match took place against Harlequins Academy at Brewery Field. The Crusaders used the fixture as a chance to view the fringe players in their squad and secured a 22-22 draw. <br />
<br />
Their first competitive games were in the National League Cup; Crusaders were placed in a group along with London Skolars, Hemel Stags and St Albans Centurions. Crusaders won every game convincingly and were installed as favourites to win National League two in their first year. However, the team finished a creditable third and lost out 26-27 in the Final Eliminator to Swinton Lions.<br />
<br />
They played against Brisbane Broncos in the Bulmers Original Cider Challenge at the Brewery Field on Thursday 15 February 2007, losing with a respectable scoreline of 6-32.<br />

==History==<br />
===The American All-Stars===<br />
One of the earliest attempts to introduce rugby league to the United States was in 1953, when Mike Dimitro, a wrestling promoter, was asked to organise a tour of Australasia by an American rugby league side.<br />
<br />
<br />
Their second match of the tour, against a Sydney side, drew a crowd of 65,453 to the Sydney Cricket Ground. After a consistent lack of competition, crowds were good but never reached the great height that the match at the SCG did.<br />
<br />
The tour did not in turn bring any benefits to American rugby league. Mike Dimitro did however, not give up, he was able to organise two exhibitions against Australia and New Zealand in California that did not turn out to be a big success.<br />
<br />
===The return of the United States===<br />
<br />
The United States played their first international in 1987 against Canada. They have participated in the World Sevens (1992-1997), Superleague World Nines (1996, 1997), Emerging Nations World Cup (2000) and Victory Cup (2003, 2004) competitions.<br />
<br />
The United States Tomahawks warmed up for the 2000 World Cup with a three-match trip to New South Wales. On Friday 11 August they took on Forster XIII, drawn from Forster’s two clubs, the Hawks and the Dragons. The tourists were defeated 32-12. <br />
<br />
<br />
Since 2002, the Tomahawks have been playing regular international competition in the United States. In 2002, the United States were defeated by Russia 54-10 in front of over 25,000 spectators in Moscow.<br />
<br />
In 2004 they shocked the Rugby League world by leading the World Cup and Tri-Nations champions Australia for most of the game. Australia rallied in the last quarter of the game and won 36-24.<br />

==2008 Rugby League World Cup qualifying==<br />
<br />

<br />
===Roosters===<br />
Wing has played most of his professional rugby league at the Sydney Roosters. He moved to the club in 2000 and originally started as a halfback partnering Brad Fittler. Wing was later moved to hooker in 2003 when halfback Brett Finch joined the club. . Wing has also played five-eighth on occasion.<br />
<br />
Wing has played in four NRL Grand Finals with the Roosters: 2000, 2002, 2003 and 2004, a feat achieved by very few players in the NRL. He was in the team which won the 2002 Grand Final where he scored one try.<br />
<br />
===Representative career===<br />
Wing has represented the New South Wales State of Origin team, City Origin and the Australian Kangaroos. Many of his appearances have been as a reserve due to the fact that Wing can cover a number of positions.<br />
<br />
===Move to Souths===<br />
Wing announced in June 2007 that he would be leaving the Roosters at the end of the 2007 NRL season to take up a four-year contract with the South Sydney Rabbitohs, the club where he started his career. <br />
<br />
While the Roosters offer was higher, Wing said he felt more comfortable accepting the Souths offer as it was a guaranteed four year deal compared to the Roosters' 2 year deal with an option for a further 2 years <br />
<br />
Wing came under tremendous criticism for allowing himself to be paraded at a high profile Souths press conference while still contracted at the Sydney Roosters. Wing apologised to Sydney Roosters fans after his very public move to South Sydney. He was jeered on 23 June, 2007, by the Roosters fans at a game against the Parramatta Eels, his first game after signing for Souths.<br />

<br />
Wing describes Alan Jones as the biggest influence on his rugby league career. <br />

David Kidwell (born 23 April 1977 in Christchurch, New Zealand) is a New Zealand rugby league player in the National Rugby League competition. In 2006 Kidwell signed a pre-contract agreement to represent the South Sydney Rabbitohs until 2009. Kidwell has previously played for the Melbourne Storm,Sydney Roosters, Parramatta Eels and the Adelaide Rams. <br />
<br />
He has also represented the New Zealand Kiwis national team on 24 occasions, most recently in the Tri Nations tournament held in New Zealand in October 2006. His position of choice is in the second row though he has also previously played as a centre.<br />
<br />
In the 2007 pre-season, it was announced that Kidwell would be co-captain of the South Sydney Rabbitohs, along with Peter Cusack for 2007.<br />
<br />
===Controversy===<br />
<br />
When playing against Australia in the Tri Nations tournament on Sat. 14th October 2006, Kidwell shoulder-charged (a legal tackle in Rugby League) Australian prop Willie Mason, temporarily downing the giant Canterbury Bulldogs forward and bruising his eye socket.<br />
Press speculation was that the tackle was in direct retribution for Mason's behaviour during the New Zealand team performance of the Haka at the beginning of the match.<br />
Kidwell denied this claim and suggested that he did not see nor hear Mason's verbal abuse during the performance of the Haka.<br />
<br />
Kidwell injured himself after suffering suspected torn knee ligaments. The Kiwi second row fell awkwardly as he tried to avoid crushing his daughter during a game at an Easter barbecue.He was expected to be out the whole season.<br />
<br />
But later on it was announced on 16th August 2007, that he would be back at the end of the season to try and push Souths into the Top 8.<br />

Henry Fa'afili, born 30th May, 1980 in Apia, Samoa, is a Samoan Rugby Union Player currently playing for Biarritz Olympique in the Heineken Cup.<br />
<br />
Henry Fa'afili's position of choice is on the wing. He can also operate in the centres or in the second row.<br />
<br />
Fa'afili is a New Zealand and Samoan international.<br />
<br />
==New Zealand Warriors==<br />
<br />
He has previously played for the New Zealand Warriors in the National Rugby League competition. He made his debut in 2000.<br />
<br />
==Warrington Wolves==<br />
<br />
Fa'afili signed for Warrington Wolves in 2004 and whilst at Warrington he has scored many tries from high cross field kicks from Lee Briers. He has scored 72 tries in 92 appearances for the Wolves (as at August 2007). It was recently announced that he will leave the Wolves at the end of 2007 season because of salary cap restraints. Henry played his last game for the Warrington Wolves on Friday 14th September 2007 against Salford City Reds. The Wolves won 34-26.<br />
<br />
<br />
==Biarritz Olympique==<br />
<br />
Fa'afili has agreed what was initially seen as a short-term deal with French Rugby Union side Biarritz. He was deemed to be signed as cover for the injured Martín Gaitán and was set for a return to England for pre-season training with Harlequins Rugby League. <br />
<br />
There was initially some confusion over the length of the deal, with Tony Rea confirming that Fa'afili would be playing for Biarritz in the short-term. <br />
<br />
Fa'afili has since reneged on the deal and the matter is now in the hands of the Harlequins Rugby League legal representatives. He is however free to play for the French side at this moment. Henry will not play for Harlequins RL in 2008.<br />
<br />
==Representatitive Football==<br />
<br />
Fa'afili has also represented New Zealand at international level on several occasions, scoring a hat-trick against Great Britain in 2003 at Ewood Park, Blackburn during the Tri-Nations. His last appearance for New Zealand was against Great Britain in June 2006 at St Helens.<br />
<br />
He also represented Samoa in the 2000 World Cup.<br />
