Ayodhya Mandapam is common meeting hall type of building-structure specifically made for the purpose of Sath-Sangham (Association of Like-minded or Common Interest on Religious Development/Discourses) at West Mambalam. It was constructed in the year 1964 and initially it was thrown open to the Iyers of Mambalam (a set of Brahmin Community) and slowly it was made available for all the other communities wide-open. But still now, it was known for the association/meeting point for Brahmin community.

Periodic discourses on Vedas and Upanishads also several cultural meet-outs handled through out the year and especially in the month of April-May of every year, Programmes in connection to Rama-Navami Mahautsav is very special at Ayodhya Mandapam.

Real spread and feel of Hinduism would be attained on visiting to this place.

It is South Indian Non-Perennial River. It starts from Present Indian State Karnataka, flows eastern and submerge in the seat in neighbouring State Tamilnadu. It flows nearly of 780 kms. and makes a very huge delta in the districts of Trichy and Tanjore.

It is the rock-fort temple a lone Vinayaka idol sitting the height of 512 steps all together. The temple architecture belongs to the Mahendravarma Pallava in the period of 15th Century. The puranic story tells about the Vinayaka in the temple as:-

Vibhishana, the younger brother of Asura King Ravana who ruled Lanka (now known as Srilanka or Ceylon). The Rama, when rescue his wife, Seetha with the help of Sukriva and Hanuman defeated him. For this war, though he was the brother but for the reason of stealing other person's wife (Rama's wife) Vibhishana agitated Ravana and supported Rama. Ultimately Rama defeated Ravana and killed him before rescuing the Seetha (as per the Hindu Epic "Ramayana"). For supporting reason, the Victorious King Rama gave back the Kingdom of Srilanka, also with token of gift, an Idol of Lord Ranganatha (Sleeping God in Sri Rangam, near Trichy).

Vibhishana, though he supported Rama, but he was a Asura, hence Devas (who are arch rivals to Asuras as per Hindu mythology) wanted to collapse the plan of God been carried by an Asura to his Kingdom hence plead to Lord Vinayaka to stop this. Lord Ganesa (another name of Vinayaka) also accepted for some or the other reason.

Vibhishana, while on back to his Kingdom, went through this place Trichy, at that time called in some other name and due to the daily duty Vibhishana wanted to take dip in the River Cauvery. Rama when gave the Lord Ranganatha idol told to Vibhishana not to keep it down, when he does it the idol will stand there itself and can't be removed from there.

On remembering this word of Rama, Vibhishana requested the boy around the place who was making his cows to drink water to hold the idol for some time. Vibhishana was unaware that the boy was Lord Ganesa inclined to stop the idol at the point. The boy also agreed to hold for sometime, as he is very younger can't hold for a long, told Vibhishana to come back as soon as possible before he counts from 1 to 10.

Vibhishana too agreed for the settlement and went for a dip, but could not come back within stipulated time. Hence, Ganesa kept the Lord Ranganatha idol there itself (which is now known as Famous Sri Rangam Ranganatha Temple). The Angry Vibhishana ran to punish the little boy who went upto the tip of the rock and stood. Vibhishana made a storm on the fore-head of little boy who turned Ganesha.

Now also we can see small patch on the fore-head of Lord Ganesha at Uchi Pillayar Temple

Tiruvidaimarudur is the birth place of the Hindu Saint "Pattinathar" - in the mideval period - whose lyrics been one of the renowned for realizing self in Hindu mythology. This temple also known for giving moksha to King Varaguna Pandiya from his "Brahmahati Thosha", and there is a belief still prevalent that any kind of bad-evil spirit will leave when you touch the place. There is lot of asylams for the mentally retarded people who been cured through ayurvedic medicines and taking holy dip at the temple's tank situated in front.
