[edit]I just wanted to say thanks for teaching me how to use and edit Wikipedia. You've been a big help! Girly Girl 14:03, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

Wikilogos
[edit]I've noticed you're quite involved here, you might be interested in my proposal for Wikipedia use logo variations created by members of the wiki community to mark national and international awareness days, Remembrance Days, notable anniversaries, and observance days. Please comment on Wikipedia:Village_pump_(proposals)#Logo Variations and on my talk page. Thanks! frummer 03:30, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
Username issue on AIV
[edit]You added User:Lemme69urmom to WP:AIV (diff) and it doesn't look like they have committed any vandalism. Username issues go to WP:UAA. I could be missing something, but I just thought I'd give you a heads up —MrSomeone ( tlk • cntrb ) 18:00, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry, I didn't know there was a separate place for that. I see that someone else has already reported at the right place. Thanks for letting me know. Slideshow Bob 18:03, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
Please refrain from edit warring over the usage of word "cheque" and "check". OhanaUnitedTalk page 18:28, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
- What makes you think that a single edit by me constitutes "edit warring"?! That's just silly. Slideshow Bob 19:55, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
Rollback
[edit]Hello Slideshow Bob, I have granted rollback rights to your account; the reason for this is that after a review of some of your contributions, I believe I can trust you to use rollback correctly by using it for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback and Wikipedia:Rollback feature. If you do not want rollback, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Good luck and thanks. Acalamari 18:26, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you. That's very kind of you. Slideshow Bob (talk) 21:04, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
- You're welcome. :) Acalamari 22:19, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference
[edit]Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.
On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true
. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false
in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.
For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.
Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:56, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
Just An FYI About the "Dubious Editor"
[edit]Hi, the anonymous IP who made the edits you labeled as "dubious" is the latest IP of an IP-hopping vandal, last blocked at Mr Fink (talk) 19:55, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
in February, who is apparently obsessed with wiping out all mention of the Miocene or Pliocene in prehistoric mammal taxoboxes, and replacing them with Pleistocene.--Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Luke Shen-Tien Chi
[edit]Wow! I don't believe we have met before. However, you came with a very strong use of power for destruction. Without clearly look into what is really going on. If you really care about the article. Please by all means, you are more welcome to edit it yourself, and make the improvement. Wiki editors should all together with much love and kind hearts for each article. Holding up the highest respect for each living soul. We should not delete anyone. Instead to progress in our editing. That makes this community a much better place! :} — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mike7682 (talk • contribs) 13:56, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- It's nothing personal. I just think it is clear that Luke Shen-Tien Chi does not meet Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion. Slideshow Bob (talk) 19:25, 28 August 2017 (UTC)

[edit]The article Flat Earth Society (disambiguation) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Redundant disambiguation page. Subset of Flat earth (disambiguation). No articles link here.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Jared.h.wood (talk) 22:42, 14 January 2021 (UTC)
