Plenty of synth-pop groups were part of the new wave movement, especially in the early 80s, but The Communards were not, despite what some sources may say. The new wave genre is notoriously misused and it does not help to extend this misuse to Wikipedia. Don't Leave Me This Way is listed as Hi-NRG on Wikipedia and Disco on Discogs. No others are new wave. undo
