Pierce i have knew that during 16th and 17 th century the title Hatun was replaced by Sultan for Queen mother,Princesses and for and only for the chief consort of a Sultan(Emperor).It was first started in Suleiman's reign qnd Mahidevran was hus first chief consort and the mother of the crown prince of the ottoman empire Tags: Visual edit Mobile edit Mobile web edit
