The Requests for closure noticeboard is for posting requests to have an uninvolved editor assess, summarize, and formally close a discussion on Wikipedia. Most discussions do not need formal closure.

A request for comment discussed how to appeal closures and whether an administrator should summarily overturn a non-administrator's closure. The consensus was that closures should not be reverted solely because the closer was not an administrator. If there is disagreement with a particular closure, the process to appeal is to start a new thread at the Administrators' noticeboard with a link to the discussion page and the policy-based reason why you think the closure should be overturned.

Please post new requests at the end of the appropriate section(s).

Highly controversial and contentious article, with a more controversial section. RFC is very confusing, with people !voting for multiple proposals which change over time, and interwoven with content debates and discussion. Expect to be flamed no matter what your decision. I am requesting a neutral administrator to assess the consensus at Talk:List of Dragonlance characters#Caramon as to whether or not the article Caramon Majere can be kept as a stand-alone article. BOZ (talk) 19:45, 1 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Note that the discussion also happened in parallel at Wikipedia_talk:Notability/Archive 53#Is plot summary "significant content" ? with comments on Caramon Majere from different users: [1], [2], [3].Folken de Fanel (talk) 10:05, 5 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Please consult WP:FORUMSHOP as to whether a parallel discussion contributes to the consensus on another discussion. BOZ (talk) 20:19, 6 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Could someone come and assess this and close please as the sides are entrenched. Basically should it show the flag of the Ireland as an alternative flag of the country, or just show it in an image as an illustration of the Northern Ireland flags issue or possibly remove altogether. Here's where you earn your money - oh sorry you're not paid ;-) anyway an uninvolved admin would be appreciated to resolve this. Dmcq (talk) 12:38, 2 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This RM has run for over a week, and consensus is rather clear. An editor has called for a close, and I'd be happy to do it had I not participated in the discussion myself. --BDD (talk) 16:23, 3 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Consensus has been reached for a merge to Survivor: Caramoan, however as the original proposer I am reluctant to execute the merge without third-party assessment. - Katanin (talk) 16:54, 4 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Contested - User:MouthlessBobcat has been reverting my redirect of the article, and reverted the closure. Clearly he is contesting the closure. I am requesting that an administrator review this closure. Thanks. -- Whpq (talk) 10:28, 6 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
