Patricia Goldman-Rakic (pronounced ra-KEESH) (b. 22 April, 1937; d. 31 July, 2003) was an American neuroscientist/neurobiologist who was born April 22, 1937 in Salem, Massachusetts.

Life

Education

Goldman-Rakic earned her bachelor's degree in the field of neurobiology from Vassar in 1959 , and her doctorate from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1963.

Death

On July 29th, 2003, Goldman-Rakic was struck by a car while crossing a street in Hamden, Connecticut. She died two days later, on July 31st, 2003, at the Yale-New Haven Hospital. Goldman-Rakic was 66 years old.
