Bangor, Washington is a U.S. Navy base, as of 2004 part of Naval Base Kitsap, located on Washington state's Kitsap Peninsula. As of the 2000 census, the base had a total population of 7,253.
Geography
Bangor is located at 47°43′15″N 122°42′47″W / 47.72083°N 122.71306°W1, on Hood Canal northwest of Silverdale.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the base has a total area of 28.6 km² (11.0 mi²). 28.6 km² (11.0 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

There are 1,316 housing units at an average density of 46.0/km² (119.2/mi²).
