Liero Xtreme (sometimes called Liero Extreme or LieroX) is a computer game. It is an unofficial sequel to Liero. It features netplay, computer AI opponents and fully custom weapons, levels and characters. It is arguably the most popular of Liero clones and it's easy to find someone to play with over the Internet.
Liero Xtreme is created by Jason 'JasonB' Boettcher, an Australian programmer. It is written in C++.

The latest version is 0.6.6b, with many new features such as dedicated servers, level playlists, in-game music, smarter AI, GUI themes, an extended game options menu. These features make it more customizable than any other previous version.

Gameplay includes a free-for-all Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and Tag. You can create your own weapon mods and play under different loading times and maps. Maps can be made and downloaded and played ingame.

Liero Xtreme has a strong community which regularly hosts both creative and gaming competitions. Most skilled players join player groupings called "clans", together with like-minded players. The clans regularly battle each other in what are known as "clanwars".
