Pinedale is the county seat of Sublette County, Wyoming. The population was 1,412 at the 2000 census. Pinedale is an important outfitting town and a gateway to the Wind River Mountains.
Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 3.7 km² (1.4 mi²), all land.
Pine Creek flows from nearby Fremont Lake through the town on its way to the Green River.
