List of improvisational theatre companies: Difference between revisions

Many theatre troupes are devoted to staging improvisational performances and growing the improv community through their training centers. Such as, The Second City (with shows throughout the US), The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre (in NY and LA), The Groundlings (LA based troupe), ImprovOlympic (with several franchises throughout the US), Loose Moose Theatre (in Canada, co-founded by Keith Johnstone), Improv Asylum (the Harvard Improv troupe). One international organization Theatresports, which was founded by Keith Johnstone, an English improv director who wrote, Impro. One commercial improv franchise, ComedySportz, founded in the United States, in 1984, now has over 20 improv comedy clubs in the US and UK.
