Avalon Drive

Avalon Drive are a five-piece Australian rock band hailing from Brisbane. The band started out being friends through school and then elapsed into Avalon Drive in 2005. Avalon Drive were influenced by the punk/rock culture and put their own twist with powerful lyrics and heavy riffs. The band have played with anberlin (USA), Crowned King (Canada), Rufio (USA), Yellowcard (USA), Matchbook Romance (USA) and most recently played as the official support band (along with Trial Kennedy) for Fall Out Boy (USA) on their first ever Australian tour in March 2007.

In March 2006, Avalon Drive played with Yellowcard on their Australian Tour playing to a crowd of over 3000 at the Sydney Luna Park Big Top. At this event, the band were forced to cut their set short after the barrier broke because of the fans, forcing the next band Houston Calls to not perform. Avalon Drive have a wide ranged fan base and are well known for their energetic live shows and festivals.

Avalon Drive's newest EP The City Of Burnt Out Lights was released on June 17, 2006. The band were on Rove Live in June 2006 as the house band. Recently, the band attended the ARIA Music Awards making an appearance on the red carpet.

The band is currently working on their highly anticipated first album.
