Works

McDowell has written or co-written 77 books on Christian Apologetics, which together have sold more than 10 million copies. Perhaps his most famous are "Evidence that Demands a Verdict," ISBN 0785243038, which attempts to prove, among other things, the historicity of Jesus Christ; "More Than a Carpenter," ISBN 0842345523, which primarily attempts to prove the deity of Christ; and "Right From Wrong," ISBN 0849936047, a guide to parenting according to Biblical morality.

Controversy

McDowell's critics accuse him of accepting Biblical authority as adequate "proof" for a proposition, of offering the opinions of his colleagues as evidentiary support for his own arguments, and of glossing over complaints about his source material. [2]
