Copy and paste moves

Please, don't copy and paste to move an article, it's against guidelines. When you copy and paste move an article it breaks that article's history and the history needs to be kept for licensing issues. Read WP:MOVE and WP:CPM and restore the ones you've done already. --ÐeadΣyeДrrow (Talk | Contribs) 08:32, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for your enlightment.

Sunda Kingdom and Sunda kingdom

Dear, I would like to inform you that I am a user who write Sunda kingdom for the first time. I am of an opinion that the tittle must be capitalized, thus I copy the content of "Sunda kingdom" to page "Sunda Kingdom" and redirect the old page to the new one. The content is the same so I think there is no promblem at all.

Sincerely, --Hadiyana (talk) 09:10, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The problem is not with your intention. The "K" in kingdom should be capitalized. The problem is in your copying and pasting. Which is not how you move a page and creates issues with the license whenever you do it. The "K" article needs to be deleted temporarily to move the "k" article over the proper way. --ÐeadΣyeДrrow (Talk | Contribs) 09:14, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
So, would you mind to help me to fix the problem to capitalize the title. Thank you in advance for your kind assistance.--Hadiyana (talk) 09:16, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The deletion template will get an Admin to come around and do it for us, since I can't do it myself. I'll add it to the Galuh article as well.--ÐeadΣyeДrrow (Talk | Contribs) 09:22, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. But how long? And, you are an admin but why could't you do it?--Hadiyana (talk) 09:33, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I'd like to be, but I'm not an Admin. And unfortunately it can take awhile. --ÐeadΣyeДrrow (Talk | Contribs) 09:35, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
What if deletting the page K by ourselves and then moving the page k by using "move" button in the editing window? Is it possible to do that? --Hadiyana (talk) 09:45, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Naw, that doesn't work. --ÐeadΣyeДrrow (Talk | Contribs) 09:47, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I'll wait for admins to delete the K pages. Thank you for enlighting discussion. --Hadiyana (talk) 09:55, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Categories...

May I offer some quick advice on categories? ‘hope you don't mind. An article should not be listed under both a category and a sub-category. Take Indonesian National Revolution for example. This has the category “:Category:Indonesian National Revolution” which is a sub category of “:Category:History of Indonesia” and thus it doesn’t need to be repeated under this one. Thus, if a reader clicks on “:Category:History of Indonesia” there shouldn’t be a list of dozens of articles, rather a list of sub-categories – as it is now. This is why I removed ‘Cultural Heritage” from Luso Sundanese padrão [1] - ie, Monuments and memorials is already part of it “Cultural Heritage”. There's a few more of yours that might fix - just look out for what I do, and it should be clear. regards. --Merbabu (talk) 03:42, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, regrads, --Hadiyana (talk) 03:55, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Section headings

Please do not remove. Tak bisa. Mungkin kalau bisa - kurang mengerti atau faham bagaimana wikipedia works - please do not move SatuSuro 13:01, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Sundanese_people&oldid=210971171 - suggests that you do not know how wikipedia works - maybe you would best help at wikipedia Indonesia - disini meganggu sekali! 13:03, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

Kesalahan besar! Deleting the title of the article because it is not suitable. To see Sunda history, see Sunda Kingdom page.

That is wrong - it is a section heading (not an article - there is a difference) and it needs to stay there.

Please do not move section headings.

If you think it relates (berhubungan) you add a link/connection - you do not remove - itu yang faham aneh!

What you should have done if you though there was a connection - is that you place a comment under that title: - See also: - to the other article. SatuSuro 13:09, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not

Create links to innapropriate articles - Sunda Kingdom was a historical state - it is not current and should not be referred to in current information articles SatuSuro 11:47, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not create hoaxes, such as you did in the article Sunda Straight. Cease and desist from introducing misinformation into Wikipedia if you are attempting to test our ability to detect and remove it. This has been done before, with universally negative results. Hoaxes are marked for deletion shortly after they are created. Kindly — do not disrupt Wikipedia to illustrate a point. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method is to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia, and then to check to see how long they have been in place and, if possible, correct them. Feel free to take a look at the five pillars of Wikipedia policy to learn more about this project and how you can make a positive impact. Thanks, READ WP:SOCK very very very carefully, as you will find yourself blocked if you do that again SatuSuro 07:12, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
