Link is a famous character from the Legend of Zelda game series. There are several Links in the whole series. In most time-lines, the first Link is the one in the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Note: (there are lots of different Links and Zeldas)
Link in The Ocarina of Time
At a very early age, when war struck Hyrule, Link's mother took Link to the safety of Kokiri Forest under the protection of the Deku Tree. She passed away and Link was brought up as a Kokiri, but he didn't have his own fairy, until Navi was sent to him by the Deku Tree. Link had to save the Deku Tree from the curse. After saving the Deku Tree he went to see Princess Zelda at Hyrule Castle. He was on a mission to get the three spiritual stones and save Hyrule! After he got them, he went to the Temple of Time and drew the Master Sword. He was transported seven years into the future. He had to release the six sages from their temples, so they could send Ganondorf away. After he had done that, Zelda was captured and he had to go and fight Ganondorf for the last time...
Link in Majora's Mask
Link beat Ganondorf and left Hyrule for unknown reasons. His horse was stolen and he accidently ended up in Termina. He had to save the land.
