Jari Litmanen

Jari Olavi Litmanen (born February 20, 1971 in Lahti) is a Finnish football player, widely considered the country's greatest ever and one of the great Finnish athletes of all time.

Litmanen currently plays for Malmö FF in the Swedish Alsvenskan, and is also the captain of the Finland national football team.

He has also represented Reipas Lahti, HJK Helsinki, MyPa and FC Lahti in Finland and Ajax Amsterdam, FC Barcelona, Liverpool and Hansa Rostock abroad.

Litmanen is a classic playmaker, and is renown for his outstanding vision and technique. He became the first Finnish footballing superstar while playing for Ajax in the 1990s, when he was arguably one of the best players in the world.

Litmanen is widely known by the nickname "Litti" in his homeland. He is also called simply "Kuningas" (the king).
