Brotas is a brazilian municipality located in the state of São Paulo. It's estimated population in 2004 was 21, 187. The town wad founded in 1839 as a religious mission.

The town its known locally for its coffee, on which its economy relies.

It is also known internationally for its specialization in adventure tourism, which includes adventurous sports such as rafting and canoeing in the Jacaré Pepira River.
