23°03′14″S 46°21′29″W / 23.05389°S 46.35806°W / -23.05389; -46.35806 Piracaia is a municipality/county in the state of São Paulo in Brazil. The population in 2004 is 25,578 and the area is 385.62 km². The elevation is 792 m. This place name comes from the Tupi language. The city changed its name to PIRACAIA on March 20, 1906.[1]
