Native Americans

Some of the text discusses Native Americans at the school but most of the article focuses on African Americans. Did most schools accept and have Native American students? I also wonder how many female.students there were. Were there female dorms? FloridaArmy (talk) 11:57, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Women were in a separate dormitory supervised by a matron. I've added statistic. Regarding Native Americans, the only two I've run across reference to were in the primaru division (not college level). How other colleges treated Native Americans I don't know. deisenbe (talk) 09:08, 1 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

New-York Central College article

Hello - Could someone please remove the hyphen between New and York in the tile of this article- I do not know how to do this- The hyphen is also between New and York in the Categories section at the bottom of the page- This hyphen should also be removed- And it also should be removed on the pages to which the link leads -

Category: New-York Central College

This category has the following 2 subcategories, out of 2 total.

New-York Central College alumni‎ (8 P)

New-York Central College faculty‎ (5 P)

I think the hyphen slipped in as it was in the text of a newspaper article from the mid 19th century - It was incorrect then and it is incorrect now

Look at the caption under both images that are on the New-York Central College page - The captions have the correct name

Thank you for this - This article is of local interest to me
