Clive Arden was the pen name of Lily Clive Nutt[1] (8 February 1888 in Meriden, Warwickshire - 4 October 1973 in Cornwall), a British writer. She lived in Trethevy, near Tintagel, Cornwall.

Writing career and Adaptations

Under the pseudonym of Clive Arden, she wrote popular romance novels. Both Sinners in Heaven and Enticement were turned into silent movies by Paramount. Sinners in Heaven was directed by Alan Crosland in 1924 and starred Bebe Daniels and Richard Dix.[2] Enticement was directed by George Archainbaud in 1925 and starred Mary Astor and Clive Brook.[3]
