Opes is pronounced, "Ohhps". It is a nickname I was given as a teenager, from my track & field teammates. It was an issue after races during the awards ceremony, announcers were unable to pronounce my last name. Eventually my teammates coined the nickname Opes. It stuck to this day, and my younger brother is nicknamed Opes as well. I recently have assimilated him into wikipedia. Please welcome him!! I grew up in Wahpeton, ND. I spent the summers in Pekin, ND, at my grandfather's farm. Throughout high-school in Wahpeton, I was involved in Cross-Country, Track & Field, Choir, and Swing Choir. I live currently in a respectable downtown apartment in Phoenix, AZ. I went to College at Jamestown College, in Jamestown, ND for 3 years. Here I was a Computer Science major, and I also competed in Mens Track & Field. After my Junior year, I transferred to Minnesota State University Moorhead, in Moorhead, MN. I determined I really didn't want to code C++, and just focus on web development. I became a Graphic Communications Major. After graduation, I attempted to find work in the ND and MN area, but was having a hard time. I decided to go to graduate school, and chose UAT, where I am a Network Security major. I currently am a Linux administrator for Intel.
