- Do a search on Google or your preferred search engine for the subject of the Wikipedia article that you want to create a citation for.
- Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
- In a new tab/window, go to the citation generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
- Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
- Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like
<ref> {{cite web | .... }}</ref>
, copy the whole thing). - In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
- If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:
==References== {{Reflist}}

ArbCom 2021 Elections voter message
June 2022
Hello, I'm Arjayay. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Sabyasachi Chakrabarty, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 08:53, 14 June 2022 (UTC)
Raka (film director) moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, Raka (film director), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Blocked as a sockpuppet
{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

Request reason:
Dear User:RoySmith I do not own multiple accounts nor I am associated with User:Musicfaneditor. You have mistakenly blocked me. Hence I request you to unblock me, or I have to raise complain against you for blocking me for sockpuppetry based on your assumption. Proudly Indian09 (talk) 09:21, 12 August 2022 (UTC)
Decline reason:
It's not an assumption. It's based on evidence, which this request does not address. Every sock puppet says they aren't one, so that is insufficient. Even if you personally only have this account, that would make this meat puppetry. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 10:50, 12 August 2022 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:
331dot & User:RoySmith I am reiterating that, I do not have any other accounts, nor I am associated with the abovementioned blocked user. If there is any similarities of contribution history between me and the blocked user, it is purely coincidence. Based on assumption I have been blocked. If you have proof that I am involved with the mentioned account, show me the evidence. Unless, I will raise complain against all those users who will decline my unblock request.
Decline reason:
Checkuser verified abuser of multiple accounts. I've also reblocked one of your other accounts that I unblocked. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 15:16, 12 August 2022 (UTC)

You are already free to review the SPI. You will have to do better than "it's not me" and "it's a coincidence" as all socks say that. 331dot (talk) 15:10, 12 August 2022 (UTC)
- 331dot what kind of proof you need to prove myself of not being involved with User:Musicfaneditor? If you need proof then come to my country, face me off in the court. I will prove you that I am not involved with the mentioned account neither I am involved in any wrongdoing on Wikipedia. In reply, you have to face a harassment case for harassing me this way.
