Lake Borrie Wetlands

Lake Borrie Wetlands is located in Victoria, Australia within the Western Treatment Plant at Werribee. This plant is administered by Melbourne Water. It is a highly significant wetland, with international importance, designated under the Ramsar Convention in 1983.[1] Thousands of birds amongst more than 270 different species can be found there.[2] The lake was named after Edwin Fullarton Borrie, a civil engineer and town planner in Melbourne.[3]
