th rat race is also an urban adventure race. it was held in manchester England, where people had to run round an urban obstacle course of varying difficulty. There was also an event heald for top end climbers, who competed in teams of two, and who were to scale various buildings on top rope. sponsored by The North Face, and Buff head wear.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.69.35.131 (talk) 22:25, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
- This is not a relevant comment, and worse, unsigned, but it does sound interesting, and if anyone can do the research, it would make an interesting article. --DThomsen8 (talk) 13:14, 16 January 2011 (UTC)

– Even if The Rat Race film were to be considered primary over The Rat Race (novel), there is also Rat Race (film), unless consensus forms for the moves The Rat Race → The Rat Race (1960 film) and Rat Race (film) → Rat Race (2001 film). "The Rat Race" could then redirect to the proposed Rat Race dab page, which currently redirects to Rat race (disambiguation) but can stand on its own as dab page main title header since all the dab page entries, except Rat race use two initial caps. Users who type "Rat race", already have a hatnote pointing to the dab page and, if the move achieves consensus, users who would type "Rat Race", would see, as the initial dab page entry, a link to Rat race. A similar, but flawed, nomination — Rat race (disambiguation) → Rat Race (disambiguation) — was rejected at Talk:Rat race (disambiguation)#Requested move 10 August 2016. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 18:29, 15 December 2022 (UTC)

- Comment Apart from Rat race, two DAB-entries have a lower-case -race. catslash (talk) 00:04, 16 December 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, for the record, in addition to the putative primary topic — A rat race is an endless, self-defeating pursuit. — there are 15 other entries, two of which also use a lowercase second "r" — "Ratrace" (Skindred song) and Rat-race coupler, a type of radio-frequency coupler. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 02:47, 16 December 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose first, support second. Regarding "The Rat Race" we need consider only two articles, the film and the novel, because no other article includes "The"; the film is the WP:primary topic of those two, with over 10 x the pageviews of the novel. A hatnote pointing directly to the other film could be added to The Rat Race article. Regarding the dab page, most articles use the capital R, so the dab page should be titled accordingly. That's just a reversal of the current redirect. Station1 (talk) 01:12, 19 December 2022 (UTC)
- Move The Rat Race to The Rat Race (1960 film) and Rat Race (film) to Rat Race (2001 film). Shwcz (talk) 00:32, 20 December 2022 (UTC)
