Removal of uncited information

I have reverted an edit to this page by User:Jones s a which added information about Cousins, Chick etc without any citation at all. Because this is a biography of a living person, uncited information such as this can be removed at will. - Mark 02:00, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

The section speculating about his contract amount will always be speculation in the AFL, because it is rare for the actual value of the player's contract to be published or known by the general public. So it should probably be removed. BartBart 12:28, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

Some bad info

Who can edit this page..

These lines -

Are both a bit silly. Basement Jaxx never released a single by that name, and whether Dalton Gooding has false teeth or not is irrelevant (and it is not clear that is is Gooding being referred to, as opposed to Ben Cousins).

16 Oct incident

Of the various sources only one has mentioned the name of a second AFL player, given that all other sources haven't identified this person under WP:BLP extraordinary claims require extraordinary sources until a number of independent sources mention this person then his name should be excluded from this and any other article. Ben Cousins was charged "with one count fail to comply with requirement to undergo a driver assessment and one count possess prohibited drug" not failing to take a drug assesment. This is incorrect an needs to be changed. it was a driver assessment he failed to undertake. If he had undertaken the assessment and police thought he was impaired, he would then have to undergo a drug assessment (blood or urine test). Drug test

West coast officials denied that they had taken a drug test at the press conference for Cousins sacking. I haven't got a source atm but I'll be changing that part. And in case you've been on the moon he's been sacked.Ticklemygrits 13:15, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

"Such is Life" tattoo

I don't think so. Not unless there is a source saying that the the "such is life" tattoo is indicative of a "stuff you" attitude. If something about his attitude is relevant (sources permitting) it would be the fact that he keeps on laughing each time he gets taken to court, and when he made those resignation speeches and so forth, he couldn't keep a straight face. Bringing the game into disrepute

Use of the term 'recreational drug use' here is incorrect and sends a dangerous message to those that are not experienced with drugs and susceptible to peer influence. 'Drug misuse' is a far more accurate description of this type of behaviour.

Clearly, Ben's use may have started out this way but, it is a strong reminder that most addicts start out as 'recreational users', a term that shouldn't apply to illegal drugs.
