Guts has a number of meanings, both as a single word and as an acronym:

• In medicine or physiology, guts is a common term for the gastrointestinal tract.
• In English slang, guts also means courage or fortitude.
• "Spill your guts" is a phrase that means to reveal information.

• In sports, guts is a team sport involving a flying disc.
• In card games, guts is the name of a poker variant.

• In particle physics, GUTs are Grand Unified Theories.
• In child development, GUTS is a Harvard University study of today's growing youth: Growing Up Today Study.

• Guts is a management book by Robert A. Lutz, former CEO of Chrysler.
• Guts is a short story by Chuck Palahniuk that appears in his book Haunted
• GUTS was a 30-minute sports game show which aired on Nickelodeon from 1992 to 1995.

• Guts is the main character of the anime and manga called Berserk.
• Guts is a skill in the Super Nintendo game EarthBound that allows a chance for a character to ignore damage that would otherwise make their hit points go into the negative (resulting in death).
