Wayne Ewasko is a Canadian politician, who was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba in the 2011 election.[1] He represents the electoral district of Lac du Bonnet as a member of the Manitoba Progressive Conservative Party caucus.[2] He currently serves as The Minister of Education and Early Childhood learning. He was re-elected in the 2016 and 2019 provincial elections. He has been called a "micro agressive" racist[3] by many- including the opposition, as well as by Stephanie Spence, who has worked on anti-racism projects at Brandon University[4] for how he treats those in minority, regardless of his stated intentions. Wayne Ewasko is also well known for closing the only remote learning option for all of Manitoba, despite all other Canadian provinces Manitoba's size or bigger offering the same thing, with waiting lists of kids wanting to join, and a student population of around 200. Ewasko has stated there is no need for online learning for grades 1-8. [5]

Personal life
Ewasko is noteworthy as both a politician and a curler having previously been to the 2006, 2009, 2010, 2013, 2014 and 2017 provincial championships.[6]
