Köräş
Köräş, also Tatarça köräş (Татарча көрәш, [tʌ`tɑrʆɑ kɶ`ræʃ], English: [kɜ:ræʃ]; Tatar Cyrillic and Bashkir: Көрәш(ү); Chuvash: Кěреш(ӳ)) - Tatar wrestling, is a Tatar national wrestling, related to some Central Asian national wrestlings, such as kurash and Turkey's yağlı güreş.
The Tatar wrestling is the main competition at the Sabantuy. Wrestlers (köräşçe(lär)) use towels and vaseline and the goal is to throw the opponent.
