Earth Burger is a vegan fast-food restaurant chain store with headquarters in San Antonio.[1]

History

Earth Burger was founded in San Antonio in 2014, by the co-owners of Green Vegetarian Cuisine: Executive Chef Mike Behrend The Veg King,[2][3] Paul Evans and Ellen Evans; members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.[4] The first location for Earth Burger was at Park North Shopping Center.[5] Earth Burger is the first fast-food restaurant in the United States to serve a plant-based menu.[6][7][8][9] In early 2018, Earth Burger opened a location at Mall of America, it later closed on November 4, 2019.[10][11] On June 11, 2018, Earth Burger opened its second location in San Antonio at a former Church's Texas Chicken.[12][13] A month later, Earth Burger opened its third location in San Marcos, TX.[14]

In early October 2022, Earth Burger partnered with Sinelli Concepts to franchise across the United States. Sinelli Concepts Chief Vibe Officer Jeff Sinelli (founder of Which Wich?) met the founders of Earth Burger in 2014 when they originally raised $43,000 on Kickstarter[15][16] to launch the fast-food restaurant.[6][16] On November 10, 2022, Earth Burger had a launch party for those interested in franchising with the company.[15][7][17] On January 17, 2023, Oomi Digital Kitchen became the first restaurant in Dallas to offer a Earth Burger menu digitally.[1][9][18]
