Photo of phone with recipe for stew
[edit]I don't have the heart to remove the photo of the phone from the infobox without finding an appropriate replacement, but it is pretty hilarious to illustrate cybertext with a stock image of a phone with a recipe for stew on it! Maybe somebody can find a better illustration? Lijil (talk) 11:21, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
Encyclopedic cybertext?
[edit]Can somebody help clarify the last sentence, about how an encyclopedia is clearly a "cybertext"? I'm just not seeing it. I'm taking the term to refer to a work that actually changes depending on the reader and the precise way they read or "operate" it, and aside from a possible vague reference to WP itself, an encyclopedia is generally just a bunch of books, isn't it? Ahh, unless it's referring to a CD/DVD-based encyclopedia... I'll go add that. --Arvedui 01:00, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
- No, I've changed my mind, even that doesn't quite make it a proper cybertext to my understanding of the term. I'm taking it out instead. If someone can figure out in what sense "Clearly, an encyclopedia is a cybertext according to this definition, as well as hypertext." is obviously true, please put it back in with a short explanation! --Arvedui 07:55, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
How do you guys feel about the age now? I tried editing it as best I could. —Preceding unsigned comment added by SabaKahn (talk • contribs) 15:23, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
