Seinfeld

[edit]

On Seinfeld Kramer had a sign over his bed that said Jungfrau Railway. I made a redirect link to the article. --Gbleem 05:04, 28 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

About the 2008 proposals

[edit]

They have also released safety aspects, such as height sickness, and the loooong drop down. manadude2 (talk) 16:20, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Questioning the date of installation of the viewing windows

[edit]

The time line states...

1972 The panoramic windows are installed at Eigerwand and Eismeer.

... however, in 1964 when my family and I rode the Jungfraubahn to the JungfrauJoch we definitely, and memorably, stopped part way up long enough for the passengers to walk the few tens of metres through a rough-hewn side tunnel to a huge window in the north wall of the Eiger which looked greyly out on a fractured cliff of rock and ice. You don't forget moments like that.

The viewing windows were installed sometime before the summer of 1964. If someone can confirm this the timeline should be fixed.

two stations in the middle of the tunnel

They can't both be. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.189.103.145 (talk) 09:20, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The motors will operate in a regenerative mode

[edit]

Do they? Is this sentence supposed to imply that they can work in that mode? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.189.103.145 (talk) 09:24, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Map

[edit]

The map is rather confusing. Is it correct to interpret that the last 2 km of the railway shown towards the bottom left of the map, was never constructed ?Eregli bob (talk) 04:55, 24 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Eigerwand

[edit]

Hi there, I’m not sure if anyone has raised this before, but I’ve seen some sources say that Eigerwand station closed in 2016, yet articles for Jungfraubahn stations etc still are written as if it is open.

Please can anyone confirm as to whether the station is open or closed, and, if it is closed, whether I should edit all the other articles by either updating on the station’s status or removing evidence of it?

I have already edited the station’s own page to say that it is closed. Thanks LivingInTwilight (talk) 07:01, 9 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I have added similar notes to the Talk pages for the articles on the other stations. The updated schedules for the 311 and 312 trains are here:
https://www.fahrplanfelder.ch/fileadmin/fap_pdf_fields/2021/311.pdf
https://www.fahrplanfelder.ch/fileadmin/fap_pdf_fields/2020/312.pdf
but it would be good to have someone review the rest of the content of these articles to make sure related facts are updated as well. 67.188.1.213 (talk) 20:41, 21 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
