Olga Korolova (born 17 March, 1988), known professionally as Korolova, is a Ukrainian music producer and DJ. She primarily produces melodic house and techno music.

In 2023, Korolova delivered over 100 performances across 50 countries[1], and amassed over 100 million views on her YouTube channel[2], as well as over 70 million audio streams and over 500k followers on TikTok[3]. She also played the main stage at the music festival Tomorrowland[4], performed at EDC Las Vegas[5], Untold, NEON Countdown[6], So Track Boa[7], Parookaville,  and collaborated with record labels Tomorrowland Music[8], Insomniac[9], and Anjunabeats.

Korolova has released tracks under well-known labels such as Ultra Records[10], Armada[11], AFTR:HRS[12], and Get Physical Music[13]; before eventually starting her own label, Captive Soul. She has performed at iconic venues such as Space Miami, Green Valley Brazil, and Hi Ibiza; while also playing live streamed sets from beautiful locations like Miami, Israel, New York, and Kyiv.

In 2024, Korolova attended her first fashion week in Paris as a first step of entering the fashion world[14].

Early life

Korolova was born and raised in Chernihiv, Ukraine. She always had an affinity for music, but fell in love with electronic music specifically in 2004 when she attended a live set of Gabriel & Dresden[15]. At that point she started increasingly listening to trance DJs and soon realized that she wanted to get into the world of DJing herself.

For most of her early career, Korolova played EDM under the name DJ Da Queen, but it wasn't until her set at Daydream Festival in 2017 that she realized she was ready for a change[16]. Her new direction followed her passion for uplifting melodies which is her signature in the melodic techno and trance tracks that she produces.

Career

Throughout her career, Korolova has collaborated with a variety of producers to create singles that have become staples during her sets. She’s collaborated with artists like Jan Blomqvist[17], Spada[18], Meduza[19], Tube & Berger[20], and more. These tracks have been embraced by industry titans such as Tïesto[21], Pete Tong[22], Vintage Culture[23], and Nora en Pure[24].

Her best known collaboration tracks are “Be Strong” with Spada (2022)[25], “Lost in Space” with Franky Wah (2022)[26], “Ready for More” with Two Are and Alar (2021)[27], her remix of “This Feeling” by Vintage Culture & Goodboys (2022)[28], “Sweet Disposition” with Gundamea and Andy Ruddy (2022)[29], and “Nightshapes” with MotherEarth and Tyoz (2024)[30].

Korolova publishes content on her social media channels, including entire sets on YouTube[31], which have accumulated over 100 million views by 2024. Her YouTube performances are recorded in scenic locations and at large events all over the world, such as Sharm El Sheikh[32], Odessa[33], Göcek[34], Buenos Aires[35], Santorini[36], Miami[37], and more. She also has an hour-long weekly radio show and podcast titled “Captive Soul” that is published on SoundCloud[38], Spotify[39], and Apple Podcasts[40].

In October 2023, Korolova started her own label, also called Captive Soul[41], where she began releasing her own music and collaborations with other artists. It doubles as an events brand, which she uses to put on shows at well-known venues where she headlines alongside other electronic music peers.

Personal life

As of February 2024, Korolova is based in Poland. She previously lived in Portugal after leaving her home in Ukraine because of the war, but ultimately decided to move to Poland where she currently lives with her family.

Her passion for animals has led her to frequently advocate for charities that help rescue lost and vulnerable animals in Ukraine[42].

She also loves exercise, dancing, and fashion; as she creates her own designs and produces them in small batches[43].

When she’s not touring and performing, she loves spending time with her family and their dog.
