Sam Earle (born October 4, 1993) is a Canadian actor. He is best known for his role as K.C. Guthrie on Degrassi: The Next Generation.
Early life
Earle was born to Chris Earle, a playwright, and Shari Hollett, an actress and theatre director.[1]
He completed the Interational Baccalaureate at Le Collège Français and went on to study Cognitive Science, Computer Science and Film at the University of Toronto.[2]
Career
Earle made his stage debut in his father's play Russell Hill at the Tarragon Theatre Mainspace from April to May 2003.[3]
Earle had his television debut in 2008 on the long running Canadian teen drama show Degrassi: The Next Generation, playing teen father K.C. Guthrie.[4][5] After his departure from the show in 2012, he appeared in independent short films and made guest appearances in television shows.[citation needed]
In 2017, he starred in the dark comedy horror film Game of Death as Tom, a mass murderer.[6] The film was shown at several festivals in 2017, earning two wins at the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival. It was released in t in 2020.[citation needed]
He has performed and DJ'd at independent music venues in Toronto and has produced ambient soundscapes and electronic soundtracks for several independent theatre productions.[citation needed]
Personal life
Earle is currently a PhD student, studying Computer Science at New York University.[2]
