TTC Service Summary

[edit]

The TTC's Transit Planning page shows links to the last two published service summaries. Sometimes the TTC can be late in updating this page. The service summary is posted before the Transit Planning page is updated. Thus, an internet search for "ttc service summary month dd yyyy" (e.g. "ttc service summary march 28 2021") might be successful. Otherwise, patience is be required. Events Support buses

[edit]

It would be interesting to mention Events Support buses. Here's a ref: https://transittoronto.ca/bus/8118.shtml Johnny Au (talk/contributions) 01:25, 11 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Let me summon Joeyconnick and TheTrolleyPole. I would like to know what both of you think about mentioning Event Support buses. Johnny Au (talk/contributions) 00:33, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
One could create a new subsection for special buses (i.e. buses not for regular service) under TTC buses#Vehicles. One could eventually include the GM New Look heritage bus and perhaps the para-medic buses. I have one photo of an "Events Support" bus that just happened to pass me one day. TheTrolleyPole (talk) 00:51, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
But I would exclude special buses from the Vehicle table as it should reflect only regular buses as per the TTC Service Summary. TheTrolleyPole (talk) 01:21, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
First off, let's be careful of the capitalization: "event support buses" is much more likely the correct form. Second, please please please let's have this properly sourced if we're going to add it. It's not clear Transit Toronto is a reliable source as it seems to verge on fan-page territory and there is already too much TTC stuff still sourced to railfan sites like CPTDB. —Joeyconnick (talk) 17:18, 18 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Wheel trans to be delivered doesn't make sense

[edit]

On the page it says:

On 22 October 2020, the TTC board approved the following purchases for new buses:

  • 70 minibuses for Wheel-Trans service to start operating in 2022.

Either these ones are part of the W700–W790 fleet which says delivered in 2022(on the service summery) or it was semi-changed like the 300 electric ones were (this order was changed to 268 hybrids if I'm correct). If the text is correct, it means it has already been delivered, and thus shouldn't be there.

What I'm saying here is something doesn't line up and I'm not sure what exactly is wrong here. Humulator (talk) 20:32, 15 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Im going to delete this unless someone objects tomorrow because looking into it this just looks like bs the ttc said to make them look good. As far as I can tell, there are none of these 70 wheel-trans buses delivered in 2022. If anything, its w700-w790 which means it delivered and the text doesn't need to be there. Line 3 Busway

[edit]

"Line 3 Busway" is probably a temporary name. However, Toronto Transit Commission bus system#Line 3 Busway is referenced by a few articles:
