Table of top producers

Listing 'European Union' in the table along with other countries is confusing (the next two entries, Germany and Poland, are part of the EU). Going to the FAOSTAT website shows that the figure for the EU includes the production by Germany and Poland. I think the EU should be removed from this table. Not sure that's right, really. The EU is a well-known political grouping; the wikilink lets any reader find out more about it (and its constituent countries, which are well-known); and it's of a size (on whatever measure, population, GDP, ...) comparable to some of the large countries in the list. Since, too, a large part of the world's rye is grown there, the figure is of some interest. Chiswick Chap (talk) 18:11, 8 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
