[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Bacup into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. —Compassionate727 (T·C) 15:31, 22 January 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Dormskirk. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Catterick Garrison, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Dormskirk (talk) 14:22, 28 April 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Jlwoodwa. I noticed that you recently removed content from Heart West without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. jlwoodwa (talk) 02:53, 26 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, the reason why I removed it was that Cardiff and Newport is served by Heart South Wales based in Cardiff and NOT Heart West. Cardiff and Newport have no connection to Bristol and West Country what so ever. It not accurate that Heart West covers South Wales. 1.140.233.171 (talk) 02:59, 26 August 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add or change content, as you did at Northern Rivers, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Cassiopeia talk 03:43, 18 September 2024 (UTC)

Hello anonymous editor. I can see you have received many previous warnings for unreliable and unsourced edits. You are clearly a knowledgeable and enthusiastic editor, so I suggest you engage with the reasons people have given for reverting your edits before you (and any future accounts you create) get blocked, and all your edits reverted. Specifically:
- You must cite reliable sources and you must not publish your own original research.
- Remember that Wikipedia is a general encyclopedia, a summary-style reference work that does not aim to contain all the information, data or expression known on every subject. Articles must remain focused on encyclopedic facts. In articles about places and media, for example, we include the encyclopedic fact of what area is served by the media – that is, media which is produced specifically for that area (as stated in reliable sources) – rather than minutiae about exactly where signals can be received (especially when the latter is based on original research).
Please think about this before jumping into making further edits if you want to avoid the next message on your page being a block notice. Thanks, 09:49, 27 September 2024 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Calendar (British TV programme). Cassiopeia talk 10:34, 27 September 2024 (UTC)

Gobowen
[edit]Hi. I'm a resident of northern Shropshire, I've noticed you have been editing BBC North West a lot.
Gobowen is covered by BBC North West. UK Free TV has this interactive map which shows the BBC region for just about every part of the UK. As you can see, BBC North West is indicated in yellow, and within the far south-west of the yellow region, you will indeed find the area of Northern Shropshire containing Gobowen. https://ukfree.tv/maps/bbc JoeyofScotia (talk) 11:39, 29 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, as a person with a good knowledge of UK Regional News and BBC North West is does not cover the village of Gobowen in Shropshire with various research I have found and UK Free TV is not a reliable source. The only transmitter that is available in the area with good signals is from The Wrekin transmitter that broadcast BBC West Midlands and ITV Central. I'm sure most of the village gets Midlands Today and not North West Tonight cause they have no connections to the North West cause its in the Midlands. 1.140.233.171 (talk) 12:02, 29 September 2024 (UTC)
- And as a person who lives in the vicinity of Gobowen, I can confirm that the surrounding area receives BBC North West. We're more linked to Chester than we are to say Telford. The fact that we're in the Midlands is immaterial, as you'll find parts of East Anglia for example get their TV signals from Yorkshire. JoeyofScotia (talk) 13:00, 29 September 2024 (UTC)
- That's fine, if you watch BBC North West then you watch it and that's your opinion. But if say for example you want a story that BBC North West want to cover in your village since you watch BBC North West, then they are going say that they don't cover your area and will tell you to contact BBC West Midlands instead for a story. I think people in Gobowen would probably disagree with you. They will have connections with Oswestry and Shrewsbury not Chester which is 23 miles away from Gobowen (you have to go through Wales in order to get to Chester). But's that you're opinion if you have connections with Chester. The BBC North West article's coverage area is about what they cover and what areas get the Winter Hill transmitter since they are closest to the North West region. 1.140.233.171 (talk) 13:24, 29 September 2024 (UTC)

- @JoeyofScotia has been repeatedly adding Gobowen in Shropshire in BBC North West article as its coverage area but the area is only covered by BBC West Midlands no other station. I strongly advised him not to add it but he ignored it cause its not suitable to the page. The village of Gobowen is 23 miles away from the North West region and only regional station close to it is BBC West Midlands and BBC Cymru Wales (the village is close to the Wales Border). The coverage area of the article is about what areas they cover and what areas get the Winter Hill transmitter since they are closest to the North West region not further into Gobowen in Shropshire. Sorry, but please don't point the finger at me when JoeyofScotia is editing constantly and disrupting the page. I think he should be reported for disruptive editing cause his edits on the page are unsourced and not suitable it all. 1.140.233.171 (talk) 01:21, 3 October 2024 (UTC)
