I understand you had positive intentions in your notice to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Articles for creation, but this would be pretty clear WP:CANVASSING from my point of view. Just jumping in here to add that Josh asked me for a sanity check on this and I agreed that this would be seen as canvassing - but I really do think this was done in the best possible faith! I think there's a version of this message (that doesn't mention individual candidates) that might be possible to post without coming off as canvassing, but you might want to draft it somewhere like your sandbox first and get a couple people to sanity-check it because this can get really sensitive. -- asilvering (talk) 18:12, 22 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
