The Shoshone River is a river in Northern Wyoming. It's headwaters in in Yellowstone National Park. It ends when it runs into the Big Horn River near Lovell, Wyoming. Cities in runs near or through are Cody, Powell, Byron and Lovell. On old maps of Wyoming it was called the Stinking Water River.
