Naruto: Ninja Council 3 is an action game for the Nintendo DS based on the popular manga and anime series Naruto by Masashi Kishimoto.

The game is essentially Naruto: Saikyou Ninja Daikesshu 4, though it has been edited to fit into the English series. This is because, while the English television series is far beyond the events of Naruto: Saikyou Ninja Daikesshu 3, the series has not yet proceeded far enough to include all of Naruto: Saikyou Ninja Daikesshu 4's events.

The game comes with a Naruto CCG card as an added bonus.

Gameplay

Naruto: Ninja Council 3 has similar gameplay to the last two games in the series. The missions take place on a small map. The touch screen serves as both a map and as a place to perform different jutsu. Animals and ninja are your typical opponents in the game. On certain missions, you have to fight bosses, which are usually the antagonists from the series. During missions, the player has to defeat the opponent under various conditions (e.g. having your health cut in half, protecting an ally, use a certain move to KO, etc).

Editing for English release

The content of Naruto: Ninja Council 3 was adjusted to fit with the current English dub releases as to not spoil anything.

The main edits, besides the removal of numerous characters, feature removing two missions to make way for a gallery of sorts, illustrating different characters' special moves, creating new missions in place of ones involving curse seals, and the removal of the Sound 4's (Sakon/Ukon, Jirobo, Kidomaru, and Tayuya) jutsus. Temari and Kankuro have their second jutsu removed, but strangely, Kiba's Wolf Fusion is kept in the game, despite not being shown in the English dub yet.
