Notice

I'm in Iraq right now so my ability to respond to questions and comments or keep abreast of everything wiki related is not going to be all that hot. I'm sorry if I seem inattentive or hit and miss but my internet access and free time does not occur with any perdictable regularity.

What I'm doing here

Some of my thoughts on wikipedia.
Check out my virtual library for refs and cites.

I'm planning alot more play in the German divisions of World War Two articles and stubs (but I never seem to have the time) as some of those are rather woeful. I am planning on writing some full length articles from scratch within the next couple months. I was very suprised to see that only two Special Forces Groups have their own articles so I've started one on both the 1st and 5th in my sandbox. I hope to have a full length "B" class article on at least two or three of these Groups sooner rather than later. I need some more time to gather additional physical references and so have to make a few more raids on my local library first.

I find myself doing alot more cleaning and wikipeida process "play" the longer I'm here. I'm an advocate of excellence and accountability which pretty much also makes me a deletionist. I've been doing alot of clean up in the fandom areas of wikipedia as well. I have alot of concerns about the content formating and inclusion of fandom, subculture and fiction based articles. I think, with some exceptions, the Tolkien and Song of Ice and Fire pages are great examples of how primary sourced fiction should be formated. I'm trying to get together some others both inside and out of the wikipedia community to give most of the more cruft-tastic aSoIaF articles a new home in a dedicated wiki. If any of this sounds of any interest then stop by and give me a hand!

A Little About Me

"I have never made but one prayer to God, a very short one: 'O Lord, make my enemies ridiculous.' And God granted it." -Voltaire

I was born in Newport Beach, California and was raised in the Seattle area of Washington State, more specifically in the town of Bremerton. I attended school in the Central Kitsap School District before dropping out of Highschool and spending two years at Olympic College and joining the United States Marine Corps. Most applicable things about myself as a Wikipedian (and alot that's probably not) can be found in my Userboxes.

My military duties have been, for the most part, centered around Aviation Command and Control and Military Police duties. I've had the privilege of working with the French military in support of OEF in the Horn of Africa.

I've been stationed in or based out of the following places and deployed in support of these Operations. If you have any question about any of this subject material or need anything cited about them or the United States Marine Corps in general please say so on my talk page and, Classification levels allowing, I'll do what I can to help. Happy editing!

You know how sometimes you hate checking your watchlist, especially when you see that certain someone or an IP has edited your favorite articles? The Ray of Sunshine is bestowed on that person that, when you see their name at the top of your watchlist, you know that all is right with the world, you can relax, and do something besides cleaning up another mess.
