The Mount Lofty Ranges are the range of mountains to the east of Adelaide in South Australia. They separate the Adelaide Plains from the plains along the Murray River. The highest point is the summit of Mount Lofty. The part of the ranges nearest Adelaide is also called the Adelaide Hills.

The Mount Lofty Ranges extend from the southern tip of Fleurieu Peninsula at Cape Jervis northward to meet the Flinders Ranges north of Burra.

A number of fault lines run parallel to the ranges, but it is not a major earthquake zone by world standards.
