WP:AN/I Notice

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The discussion is about the topic [[:]]. Thank you.

Thought you'd want to know. --SXT4 03:20, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is the only warning you will receive. Your recent vandalism will not be tolerated. Although vandalizing articles on occasions that are days or weeks apart from each other sometimes prevents editors from being blocked, your continued vandalism constitutes a long term pattern of abuse. The next time you vandalize a page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Allgoodnamesalreadytaken (talkcontribs)

SSP on User:Gtadoc

IDK, if this belongs over there or not, but, here's my analysis of the respective contribs, use it if you want, but, If you're going to move forward with this, you will need to show how these accounts are being abusive, if they are indeed socks. WP:SOCK is where you'll find the relevant policy.

Here's my understanding of the timeline from the respective users contribs:

Be forewarned, I've been known to make mistakes, and, this summary isn't necessarily proof one way or another. --SXT4 07:46, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Vandalism, you will be blocked from editing. Adding sockpuppet tags (as you've ben told by admin) to users who have not violated WP:SOCK is not appropriate, repeatedly doing so after warning is considered vandalism. Please read WP:SOCK if you don't understand WP policies. Allgoodnamesalreadytaken 12:34, 29 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm SQL now...

Just a note, I Had my username changed, to one that I like better (From SXT40 to SQL), if you need anything, I can be reached at User talk:SQL. --SQL(Query Me!) 06:39, 2 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's pretty straightforward, Bsharvy; the evidence you and others presented in the case didn't show that Gtadoc/Allgoodnamesalreadytaken had violated policy. In particular, the evidence doesn't show that they've double-voted or jointly violated 3RR, two of the most common actions that get sockpuppets blocked.

What we've got is two accounts, who claim to be different people who know each other, that have made similar comments on talk pages. You raise some legitimate suspicion that both accounts are run by the same person, but what have these accounts actually done that violates policy? Advocating the same position on talk pages isn't enough to justify a block, unless there's evidence of double voting or long-term disruption. Note further that Gtadoc hasn't edited since Aug. 19 and claims to be retired; if that remains the case, then there's no continuing sockpuppetry. --Akhilleus (talk) 22:13, 2 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AllGoodNames / Gtadoc

Hey... After the SSP, I think, it's time to let go... Everyone has a good point. So long as Gtadoc isn't editing, there's not really an issue. Mostly, even if he does restart editing, so long as they stay off the same articles, they're good.

I just don't think, that wasting your time pursuing this matter any further, is going to be of any benefit to you, or, the project... Anyhow, for what it's worth, I think it would be best to just let this go... If there's anything else, that you need, feel free to contact me via my talkpage. Hope you dont mind, and that I didnt misunderstood you. I would clearly welcome your comment. --Firkenknecht 08:47, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
