Xavier Serbiá

Xavier Serbia (born July, 24th 1968) in Santurce, Puerto Rico. Xavier is a former member of Menudo. He joined Menudo in 1980 and stayed with Menudo through most of Menudo's glory days. He left the group in early 1983 and was replaced by Ray Reyes.

As a member of Menudo, he dueted with Miguel Cancel on the song titled "Rock en la TV" on Menudo's 8th Spanish album, Quiero Ser. Xavier sang the song titled "Formula" on Menudo's ninth Spanish album, Por Amor (1982).

Currently, Xavier Serbia works as an editor and columnist in some of the most important Spanish publications in the country.

He is Contributing Editor for the "Money Matters" section of "Siempre Mujer"magazine. This magazine has a circulation of 350,000 and an audience of 1.3 million readers. The magazine is published by Meredith Corporation (NYSE: MDP), one of the most important publishing company in United States.

Serbia is the featured writer on Yahoo! Finance in Spanish in his very popular weekly "Conexión Dinero". Yahoo Telemundo is the #1 Hispanic website in the USA with more than 11.5 million unique visitors every month.

Also, he writes his popular weekly column "El Menudo Cuenta" in the Sunday Business Magazine of "El Nuevo Día", the most important newspaper in Puerto Rico with 1.1 million daily readers.

His columns are published in "El Nuevo Día Orlando", "El Diario la Prensa in Nueva York and "La Opinión" in Los Angeles, California.

The Superstar Thalia invite Xavier regularly to her very popular radio show "Conexión Thalia" to give financial tips in his popular segment "Conexión Finanzas".

Xavier launched XavierSerbia.com, a Spanish language financial site where he informs the Hispanic community in the US. The site include Q&A financial section "PAX", blog "La Esquina X", discussion forum "Foros", and in-depth financial opinions.

In 2003, he was elected by NBC-Telemundo and Ford, to host the business series El Camino Al Triunfo where he performed as writer, advisor and host. He was subject of articles in Hispanic newspapers such as La Opinión, Reforma, El Nuevo Dia, Sun-Sentinel, Prensa y Hola Hoy, and La Raza among others. He also appeared as a commentator on such Telemundo Network shows as “Noticiero Nacional Telemundo’, “Esta Mañana” and “América en Vivo”, among others.

Xavier completed his High School at the CUSC (Colegio Universitario del Sagrado Corazón) in Santurce, Puerto Rico, In 2006 he finished his second master degree in Financial Economics at "Trinity College". He also performs public presentations and TV interviews where he shares his knowledge and experience in the area of entrepreneurship, personal finance, and education.
