Chad Cromwell is a drummer best known for his contributions to Mark Knopfler's solo albums Golden Heart (1996), Sailing to Philadelphia (2000), The Ragpicker's Dream (2002) and Shangri-La (2004). Chad was also part of Mark's band during the tours of his first solo albums. During the Shangri-La tour in 2005, Chad was forced to withdraw due to personal reasons. He was replaced by Danny Cummings, who also played drums on Mark's latest solo album Kill to Get Crimson (2007) and will be part of the 2008 tour line-up.
