Biography

William "Willie" Harcourt-Cooze, husband of the Honourable Tania Harcourt-Cooze, a direct descendant of Samuel Taylor Coleridge is the star of a four-part TV series on Channel 4 called Willie's Wonky Chocolate Factory, which began on 02/02/08[1]. The documentary follows Willie's attempts to turn the Chuao strain of cocoa grown on his Venezuelan farm into the best chocolate in the world at his rented factory in Devon. Willie's stated goal is to grow and produce his very own 100% Cocoa Bar and sell it in Selfridges. According to the series, he sold his house 11 Years [2] ago to follow his dream and moved to Venezuela with his Wife Tania to purchase a 1,000 Acre cocoa farm close to Choroni on the borders of the Henri Pittier National Park. Upon returning to the U.K. 8 years later he started up a factory in his birth town Devon. His recipes utilizing his chocolate so far have been : Venezuelan hot chocolate , Black beans and arepas , Gazpacho and Truffles. He is said to supply his close friend Marco Pierre White
