The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office or EBRSO has primary responsibility for law enforcement in East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana. The Sheriff, as of July 1, 2008 is Sid Gautreaux III.

The Sheriff's Office is comprissed of two divisions, the Criminal Division and the Civil Division. With both divisions combined, the Sheriff's Office employs approximately 850 deputies.


DIVISIONS

The Criminal Division consists of Uniform Patrol, Communications, Detectives and Parish Prison. The Civil Division consists of Payroll & Finance, Purchasing, and Tax Payemtns as well as the service of subpoenas and court orders. Ultimately, all divisions of the Sheriff's Office fall under the guidance of the Chief Criminal Deputy, Colonel Ricky Adams.
