One of the more versatile singer songwriters - he works out of Bangalore, India. He has written music and fronted bands like Angel Dust, Document:Done, S.T.O.M.P etc that have won every major league festival - Rocktaves, BITS PIlani to Strawberry Fields, NLS. Chris Avinash has conceptualised and organised rock festivals like U rock, a festival for University bands, Rockarama - for local underground acts and the famous Touchbass - the first ever corporate band festival in India [1] [2] He now concentrates on writing music for independent artists from his home studio. [3]. Chris Avinash is the first Indian to launch 2 independent artists (in the contemporary western music space) back to back, Mandara [4] and Rajiv [5]. He has written music for and produced these artists over a period of one year. He manages many bands and is the easily the best contact person in India for anything to do with Underground bands and upcoming performers. His studio 'christortion' is always full of young people and aspiring musicians and performers. Chris, an MBA in marketing and Human Resource management has held various stints as brand and marketing manager for an assortment of corporate houses. He now produces music full time in addition to playing sessions on various projects.Chris is married to kavya, who works as a features editor in a major daily. His daughter, Jerusha ,is 6 years old.
