After the regime change in the Czech Republic, Pavel Skřivánek discovered new opportunities within the Eastern European market and in 1994 he set up Překladatelský servis skřivánek, s.r.o. Within a few years the company became the market leader in the Czech translation services market and evolved into the leading provider of translation and localization services throughout Central and Eastern Europe.
On the list of translation agencies prepared by the independent audit company Common Sense Advisory in 2007, Skřivánek ranked 20th worldwide on the basis of turnover and 1st on the basis of number of branches. With 19 branches, Skřivánek s.r.o. is the leading company in the Czech Republic in its field.
In 2002, the company was successful in obtaining an EN ISO 9001:2001 certificate, which is renewed annually by TÜV Nord. Skřivánek s.r.o. is an official supplier of the European Union (CCR CZE-23379).
