Frank Weitenkampf

Frank Weitenkampf, (1866 - 1962), was an American authority on engraving and a library official, born in New York State, where he studied for two years at the Art Students' League.
Weitenkampf gained recognition as one of the foremost authorities on engraving in the United States. In 1914, New York University gave him the degree of L.H.D. Among his publications are: How to Appreciate Prints, (fourth edition, 1911) and American Graphic Art, (1912).
He also contributed to several encyclopedias, among them the New International Encyclopedia.
