Gyration is another term for rotation. A center of actual rotation as well as rotational symmetry may be called gyration center, gyration point, or rotocenter. See also radius of gyration. Other terms with the "gyro-" root for rotation are gyroscope and gyros.

Gyration is a company that produces an optical mouse known also as the Gyration. What is significant about this mouse is that in addition to being able to be used on a table, it can also be waved in the air.

Thus far, the Gyration company has produced the Gyration Ultra GT (the mouse), a professional version of the Ultra, a "Media Center remote", and a mini- and a full-sized keyboard to go with their mice.
